Afro Language Grove - Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Afro Language Grove (ALG). By registering for any of our courses, you agree to be
bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Registration and Payment
● 1.1. Course Fees: All courses must be paid for in full upfront before the course
commencement date to secure your spot.
● 1.2. Onboarding: All students must submit a valid email address upon registration to be
onboarded to their respective online classrooms and receive official communications.
● [+] 1.3. Payment Methods: We accept payments via Bank Transfer All transactions are
processed in [Specify Currency, e.g., USD, EUR].
● [+] 1.4. Confirmation: Your registration is only complete once full payment has been
received and you have received a confirmation email from ALG.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
● 2.1. Cancellation by Participant:
○ a) Before Course Start: If you cancel your registration at least [e.g., 7 days]
before the course start date, you are entitled to a full refund, minus a [e.g., 5%]
administrative fee.
○ b) After Course Start: Participants can cancel their enrollment in the entire
course. A partial refund can be requested after attending the first 10 classes. In
this case, a reimbursement for the remaining 14 classes will be issued. The cost of
the first 10 classes is non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for cancellations
made before the completion of the first 10 classes.
● 2.2. Cancellation by Afro Language Grove: ALG reserves the right to cancel a course
due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment. In such an event, registered
students will be notified immediately and offered the choice of a full refund or a credit
towards a future course.
3. Course-Work and Class Policy
● 3.1. Communication: All formal communication between students and instructors
should be conducted via email or the official WhatsApp group
● 3.2. Attendance & Punctuality:
○ Students are required to attend all scheduled classes to qualify for course
completion and certification.
○ If a student must miss a class, they are required to notify the instructor at least
[e.g., 24 hours] in advance.
○ Classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Students are expected to be on
time. A grace period of 5 minutes will be permitted; however, the class session
will not be extended to accommodate lateness.
● 3.3. Make-up Classes: If an instructor must cancel a class due to an emergency or
unforeseen circumstance, a make-up class will be scheduled at a time convenient for the
majority of the students.
● [+] 3.4. Certification Requirements: To receive a Certificate of Completion, students
must:
○ Attend at least [e.g., 85%] of all live classes.
○ Complete all required coursework and assignments to a satisfactory standard as
determined by the instructor.
4. Code of Conduct & Online Etiquette
● 4.1. Respectful Environment: All participants are expected to contribute to a respectful,
welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. Harassment, discrimination, or any form
of disruptive behavior towards instructors or fellow students will not be tolerated.
● 4.2. Online Etiquette: During class hours, students are required to:
○ Minimize background noise.
○ Be in a physical space conducive to efficient learning.
○ Ensure a stable internet connection.
○ Participate constructively and respectfully.
● 4.3. Violation: ALG reserves the right to remove any student from a course without a
refund for violating the Code of Conduct.
5. Intellectual Property
● 5.1. Ownership: All course materials, including but not limited to lesson plans, videos,
presentations, documents, and recordings, are the intellectual property of Afro Language
Grove.
● 5.2. Usage Rights: These materials are provided for the student's personal educational
use only. Unauthorized distribution, reproduction, sharing, or commercial use of any
ALG materials is strictly prohibited.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
● 6.1. Confidentiality: Student information provided during registration will be kept
confidential and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, in
accordance with our Privacy Policy.
● 6.2. Class Recordings: Online class recordings, if applicable, will be used for internal
educational and quality assurance purposes only. They may be made available to enrolled
students of that specific class for revision purposes but may not be downloaded or shared.
7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
● 7.1. Technical Issues: ALG is not responsible for technical issues on the student's end,
including but not limited to internet connection failures, hardware malfunctions, or
software incompatibilities.
● 7.2. Educational Outcome: While we are committed to providing a high-quality
educational experience, ALG does not guarantee any specific personal or professional
outcomes as a result of completing our courses.

8. Amendments
● ALG reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. All registered
students will be notified of any significant changes via email. Continued participation in
the course after such notification will constitute acceptance of the revised terms
